George Ingram

George Ingram has been active in the local music community since the early ’80s, playing for church services, weddings, private parties, community events, and musical productions with the St. Simons Little Theatre.

George has served churches as an organist and pianist since he was 16. In the 1980s, he was organist at St. Simons Baptist Church. Since 1993, he has served as organist and pianist at First United Methodist Church in Brunswick, and since 2002, he has also served as organist and pianist at Lovely Lane. From 2017 to 2020, George was Assistant Choirmaster and Organist at Christ Church Frederica before returning to his home at Brunswick First. Over the years, he has also played for community services, graduations, high school chorale programs, and a wide variety of musical occasions.

In 1981, George moved to St. Simons Island to work at Rich-SeaPak Products. He soon discovered that the area had an inspirational quality that fit his artistic nature perfectly.

“I love the variety of beauty and wildlife that abounds on the Golden Isles,” he says. “You can’t help but be inspired by God’s handiwork.”

After living on St. Simons for three years, George recognized a need in the community and opened St. Simons’ Florist. Once again, he put both his creative and business skills to work, earning the FTD designations of Master Florist and Master Designer. For eight years, the business flourished thanks to George’s creative touch, attention to detail, and commitment to excellent customer service.

After selling the flower shop, George became editor of The Coastal Illustrated. In 1994, he began a successful career as a Realtor® in Glynn County. In 2008, he joined United Way of Coastal Georgia. After his tenure there, he began working full time as a self-employed real estate photographer, combining his eye for design, composition, and storytelling.



George has one son, Jackson, and daughter-in-law Bryanna, along with three grandchildren: Travis, Irish, and Imogen. They all live in Pensacola, Florida.
