REV. DR. TARA PAUL

About Tara:

Born in the land of milk and cheese (that's Wisconsin), Tara slowly made her way to Georgia through the heartland of America (with a side quest to Sarasota, Florida for Middle School) until she ended up in Atlanta the summer before her freshman year of High School. It was here in Atlanta, years later, where she and Jim met at church one Sunday morning and where they set up their lives centered around God and raising a family. After years of anticipation, Jim retired and they moved to St Marys. The two have two young adult children (Winter and Carter).

Tara has a BA from University of Georgia in Religion, a Master of Divinity from Emory University, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary. Her passion in ministry is to help people see and experience God's faithful presence in their everyday lives. Throughout her ministry, Tara has served at Dacula First UMC (Pastor to Youth and Families), Mountain Park UMC (Associate), Avondale Patillo (Senior Pastor), Birmingham UMC (Associate), and Inman Park UMC (Senior Pastor). She is excited to be at FUMC Brunswick and looks forward to years of growing together in love, knowledge, and service to God.

In her spare time, you can find her in the kitchen honing her culniary skills, swimming in the pool, or watching documentaries.
